A damaru (Sanskrit:, Tibetan: amaru) is a small two-headed drum used in Hinduism and Tibetan Buddhism. The damaru is related with Tantric traditions in Hinduism and is known as Shiva's instrument. Shiva is claimed to have made it to make spiritual noises via which the entire universe was formed and ruled. [3] The damaru is a Tibetan Buddhist instrument that is used in meditation. [4]
